Ryan McGinness Drawing Salon
Manhattan-based Ryan McGinness has been a busy man lately. From black light painting installations in Miami to a show at Espai Cultral in Barcelona, the globetrotting artist shows no signs of slowing down with his latest project at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood. Already famous for their controversial Box, a glass container housing a model behind the check-in desk in their lobby, The Standard asked Mr. McGinness to draw even more attention to their art-house project by commissioning a series of sketches of some of the lovely ladies of the Box on Standard-branded sheets of paper. In addition to getting to watch the artist at work on these pieces, guests of the Hollywood Standard will also be treated to a McGinness installation on the side of the hotel itself.
