Homes built in trees have captured the public’s attention ever since the iconic stories of families like the Swiss Family Robinson first hit the airwaves, but this unbelievable creation is the world’s tallest tree house ever.

At 10 stories high, the structure looks more like an apartment project than a residence. Nevertheless, the world’s tallest tree house is the home of Horace Burgess, who calls himself “The Minister” and believes that a higher power instructed him to build it. Construction on the house began in 1993 when the building was built around six oak trees; since then, it has continually grown in size. Now at over 97 feet tall, it has officially been named the world’s tallest tree house.
