Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0




After many months of speculation and premature leaks, the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3, has finally been officially unveiled. One of the fastest production cars ever run around the Nordschleife (it ran the Nürburgring in 7 minutes and 27 seconds), the vehicle boasts a 4.0-liter flat-six engine derived from the 911 GT3 RSR racer and features forged pistons, titanium connecting rods and a shaft pulled directly from the racetrack model. With 500 horsepower peaking at 8,250 rpm and maximum torque coming in at 5,750 rpm, the GT3 RS 4.0 can run to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and crack 124 mph in less than 12. Limited to only 600 units, the car comes standard with a sporty white paint and six-speed manual gearbox, and will be priced at $185,000 USD when it goes on sale late this year.
