It opened last April 17 at the MOCA in Los Angeles the extraordinary (perhaps one of the largest in the industry) show Art in the Streets. The exhibition runs until August 17 and is probably the best you can find in the field, the idea is the fruit of that genius of Jeffrey Deitch (together with partner and co-curators Aaron Rose and Roger Gastman), the idea is icon corresponds to the whole street art from the Seventies to the present day, focusing heavily on key cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and Sao Paulo.

Many people consider this show as a real watershed between street art and conventional museum, it is finally a real clearance of street art by so-called high art, though many criticize the fact that street art should not reside within the walls of a closed museum.
The list of the artists is almost endless, just to mention people like Haring, Banksy, Os Gemeos, McGee, Swoon and Shepard Fairey in mind to understand the scope and value of which is the relevant exhibition.
